Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
DeskKit (“we”, “the site”) is a static website of developer utilities. This policy explains what we collect, what we do not collect, and the rights you have under the EU/UK GDPR and similar US state laws.
What the tools process
Every tool on this site runs in your browser. Cron expressions, regex corpora, JSON documents, timestamps, Base64 strings, URLs, UUIDs, JWTs, and file bytes used for hashing are processed on your device. They are not uploaded, stored on a DeskKit server, or written to analytics events. There is no account system and no database of pastes.
Hosting logs
The site is designed to deploy to Vercel or Cloudflare Pages. Those providers may keep ordinary web logs (IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamp) for security and reliability. DeskKit does not operate an application server that sees tool input.
Cookies, ads, and analytics
Advertising and analytics are disabled by default. They only activate when the site operator sets PUBLIC_ADS_ENABLED or PUBLIC_ANALYTICS_ENABLED.
- Google AdSense (when enabled) uses cookies and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. Google is an independent controller for that processing. A consent banner is shown in the EU/UK and elsewhere before ad cookies are set. You can reject ads; the tools keep working.
- Plausible (optional) is a cookieless analytics product. It records page views without a persistent advertising identifier.
- Google Analytics 4 (optional alternative) uses cookies. IP anonymization is requested in the config snippet. Do not enable GA4 in the EU unless you have completed your own transfer and consent assessment.
Theme preference (deskkit-theme) and ad consent (deskkit-ads-consent) are stored in localStorage on your device only.
Legal bases (GDPR)
Hosting the static files is based on legitimate interests in operating a free website. Optional analytics, if cookieless, may also rely on legitimate interests; cookie-based ads and GA4 rely on consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing site data or using the banner again after reset.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA, UK, or a US state with a privacy statute, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, and to object or restrict certain processing. Because tool input is never collected, there is usually nothing to export from DeskKit itself. For ad profiles created by Google, use Google’s ad settings. To contact us: hello@deskkit.dev.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
