    How to use

    1. Read the expression and the English meaning above. Confirm they match the job you have in mind.
    2. Use the time zone dropdown to preview the next 10 fire times in UTC or a US/EU city.
    3. Copy the expression into crontab, GitHub Actions (`on.schedule.cron`), or your job runner.
    4. If you need a nearby interval, browse the related schedules at the bottom of this page.

Nine in the morning is when a lot of office-hour automations start: stand-up summaries, store-open checks, “here is last night’s error budget.” Hour 9, minute 0, every calendar day.

If you do not want Saturday and Sunday, switch to 0 9 * * 1-5. This page keeps the seven-day version so the difference is obvious.

When this schedule is a good fit

Typical uses: A morning briefing email; Pre-warming caches before traffic arrives; Opening a feature flag window.

Cron fields are zone-naive. The daemon’s TZ — or the TZ= line above the job — decides what “midnight” or “9am” means. Preview both UTC and the office zone before you ship.

    FAQ

    Does this run on weekends?

Yes. Add 1-5 in the day-of-week field to skip Saturday and Sunday.

    9am in which zone?

The daemon’s zone. If the server is UTC and you want 9am in Berlin, either set TZ=Europe/Berlin for that crontab or convert the hour.

Does this page upload my crontab?

No. The explainer and the next-run list run in your browser. The expression on this page is a public example.
